Building Solidarity in Tech

written 05/25/2026 by jackc

A poster design featuring bold typography and two humanoid figures rendered in black and white. The one on the top right is larger and has a curved horn protruding from its forehead, and a pointed tooth. The lower figure is looking up at the other in awe with a wire plugged into its temple. The text reads: Forced to use AI at work? Help your fellow workers fight back! We need to hear from you

I've been connecting with comrades in the Joe Tache campaign to come up with ideas for Tech 4 Tache, organizing specifically around the concerns of workers in the tech industry. As a software engineer myself I feel that the industry has been one of the last bastions of good perks, benefits, and compensation in the labor market. Yet, now with AI poised to take these jobs (or provide a smokescreen for already-planned mass layoffs) it's time to rally tech workers together to support our socialist movement and say that time's up for the billionaires.

Raising awareness for the May Day general strike

written 04/26/2026 by jackc

March in New York City on Workers' Day, May 1, 1909. Library of Congress, Washington, D.C. (digital. id. ggbain 03321)

The Boston PSL and Tache 4 MA join the call for a general strike on International Workers' Day, May 1st. I met up with comrades in Dorchester to talk with local businesses and put up posters to get the word out.
